The Poetry of Function

In Steve Jobs’ thinking lies a lesson that runs through every form of creation: design is not an end, but a means to improve life. This vision, where innovation meets sensitivity, resonates in the work of the brands represented by Espacio con Hache. All of them share a fundamental idea: design as a human experience.

At +Halle, this philosophy becomes spaces that foster interaction. Their pieces redefine collective furniture as an extension of behaviour, not as a formal imposition. In every seat or module, there is an invitation to pause, think or collaborate. As in the world of Jobs, function becomes invisible: what matters is not the object but the experience it triggers.

Pott Project works from the most essential materiality (earth, fire, form)to create objects that are pure synthesis: honest and tactile. In their apparent simplicity lies the same depth Steve Jobs pursued in his products: the perfection of a minimal gesture, of design that doesn’t need to explain itself.

Andersen shares with Jobs the obsession for coherence between form and feeling. Their furniture, with precise lines and restrained warmth, conveys the serenity that can only emerge from total control of detail. Nothing is superfluous, nothing distracts: each element fulfills an emotional and structural purpose.

At Röshults, innovation is expressed through industrial precision designed for outdoor living. Their outdoor collection combines formal purity with durability-focused technology. As with Apple products, engineering and beauty merge until one disappears into the other.

And at Astep, light embodies the essence of Steve Jobs’ philosophy: the fusion of the technical and the poetic. Each luminaire turns technology into emotion, function into experience. The invisible, energy, the flow of light, becomes tangible, almost spiritual.

Across all these brands there is a shared impulse: to innovate without losing the soul, to create with honesty, and to understand that good design doesn’t seek to dazzle but to improve life. Jobs believed that the simplest objects were the hardest to achieve, because behind their apparent ease lies the perfection of what is deeply thought.

Just as he turned technology into a form of everyday art, these brands transform furniture, lighting and objects into an extension of human experience. Because, in the end, the most profound innovation is not in what changes the shape, but in what changes the way we live.

Thanks

This website is dedicated to all those people who, in one way or another, have helped this project/dream/desire to begin and take shape.

Special thanks to my wife and my parents for supporting me, to Cristina Escarrà and Alfonso Pérez Rosales for generously sharing with me their experience as agents, to those clients who, in one way or another, have given me wise advice, to the brands that have placed their trust in me, and to Gonzalo, my godfather, who, with his always generous help, and guiding me throughout this process, is largely to blame for the fact that I can boast of being an “entrepreneur”.

Thanks also to Nuria, Rafa and Guillermo, who, to help me in the hard beginnings of any entrepreneurial activity, have opened the doors of their home, let me share with them a bit of their personal lives when I pass through their cities of residence, and give me free accommodation.

Thanks to all!
