Summit by +Halle. Open geometry for encounters in motion.
At times, a piece of furniture manages to preserve the purity of the classical principles that define a space while introducing something bold and free from convention. Summit, designed by the Norwegian studio Snøhetta for the Danish brand +Halle, is one of those systems that transcends the category of seating. Its modular, multi-level structure allows for fluid environments, open to diverse uses ranging from an impromptu gathering to a private pause.
Versatility as a Principle.
The key lies in its versatility. Each module, joined through a system of magnets, can be easily reconfigured, generating horizontal or tiered compositions depending on the desired dynamic. This formal freedom encourages both spontaneity and planning, adapting naturally to corporate, educational, or cultural contexts.
A System Open to Endless Combinations.
This program consists of five different modules that, when joined or stacked, create fifteen vertical blocks, multiplying the possibilities of configuration. The result is a system open to infinite combinations, capable of responding to diverse contexts and scales without losing its formal coherence.
Islands of Interaction.
Summit adapts seamlessly to workplaces, cultural venues, or transitional areas, creating islands of interaction that invite people to pause, converse, or simply observe. It does not impose routes or hierarchies; rather, it proposes a landscape where spontaneity finds its place.
An Intuitive and Welcoming Design.
The design avoids the superfluous. Soft forms, organic transitions, and warm surfaces invite interaction without barriers. Summit welcomes without imposing, offering resting points and fostering a shared use of space that requires no instructions, as interaction arises intuitively.
Functionality and Adaptability.
Functionally, the system can integrate power outlets for different markets, reinforcing its role as a space for work, activity, and collaboration. Its scale and configuration can grow or diminish without losing aesthetic coherence, allowing each installation to be as unique as the environment it inhabits.
Micro-Architecture for Encounter.
Summit is a tool for creating small spaces of interior micro-architecture, shaping places that invite people to stay, converse, or work by generating a versatile, intuitive, and naturally welcoming meeting point.
A design that understands that, in the encounter between people, space is a place to be and to share.
