S3 and S5 by Andersen. Order that accompanies.
S3 and S5, designed by byKATO for Andersen, stem from a shared understanding of storage: as a functional part of space, not merely a decorative element. Both pieces combine the heritage of Danish design with a contemporary sensibility that prioritises real use, visual calm, and quality in the details.
They are conceived to coexist with space and serve the people who use it. They organise, accompany, and provide continuity, whether in offices, shared work areas, or domestic settings.
Two formats, one idea.
S3 and S5 share concept, materials, and finishes. The difference lies in proportion. S3 offers more generous dimensions. S5, slimmer in profile, responds to contexts where space is limited or where a more contained solution is required, without sacrificing functionality or character.
Both support everyday use, reduce visual noise, and allow each object to find its place naturally.
Contemporary Scandinavian design.
Crafted in solid wood, S3 and S5 express the value of well-made work. Traditional joinery, turned legs with brass rings, and solid-wood drawer frames speak of craftsmanship, precision, and durability. Every element fulfils a structural role as well as an aesthetic one.
Doors and drawers incorporate a soft-close system, providing a quiet, fluid experience, particularly valuable in open environments, meeting rooms, or shared spaces where acoustic comfort contributes to wellbeing.
The combination of doors and drawers allows for the organisation of everything from documents to personal objects, adapting to different uses.
Material, colour, and balance.
Finish options reinforce this flexibility. Structures, made from solid oak, are available in various finishes, while the fronts offer choices that introduce colour in a measured, intentional way.
The result is a serene balance between expression and restraint, identity and continuity. Colour and wood enter into dialogue without imposing themselves, allowing S3 and S5 to integrate into a wide range of projects while maintaining a coherent presence.
More than storage furniture, S3 and S5 are tools for organising space and making it more liveable. A clear example of how design, when grounded in proportion, material, and everyday use, becomes something durable, approachable, and essential.
