Open Kitchen by Röshults. Kitchens for open air.

Beyond its functionality, outdoor cooking finds in Open Kitchen a formal expression aligned with the principles of contemporary design. Röshults brings to the outdoors the same technical and aesthetic standards expected of an interior space, through a kitchen whose presence integrates naturally into its surroundings. Timeless modularity and materiality define a concept in which every component responds to a precise logic.

Designed by the studio Broberg & Ridderstråle, Open Kitchen is built around a three-phase system that allows each configuration to adapt to its architectural context, intended use, and the formal language of the project. An open solution, suitable for both small-scale interventions and larger compositions aimed at social or residential settings.

1. Functional modules

The foundation of the system lies in its modular organisation. Each unit serves a specific purpose: cooking, whether charcoal, gas, or electric, preparation, washing, or storage. The possibilities for combination make it possible to create solutions tailored to defined usage programmes, ensuring operational efficiency and visual continuity.

2. Structural finishes

The system offers two material options to define its appearance, polished stainless steel or anthracite finish. Both guarantee high resistance to outdoor conditions and an aesthetic performance that aligns with diverse project typologies, whether seeking discreet integration or a sculptural presence.

3. Base configuration

The open structure allows for different levels of visual lightness. The lower shelf can be made of steel or incorporate teak slats, introducing material contrast and adding a warm dimension to the composition. This base offers functional stability while maintaining aesthetic coherence.

A system open to multiple contexts

Originally conceived as a standalone solution for compact spaces, Open Kitchen also allows for L-shaped or parallel configurations, extending its scope in both domestic and contract environments. When combined with the Open Bistro line, the system evolves into a complete ensemble in which cooking and gathering share the same material language.

Materiality and permanence

The entire line is made from 316L stainless steel, a high-performance alloy with certified resistance to marine corrosion. This material retains its structural integrity and lustre over time, minimising maintenance requirements and ensuring the longevity of the ensemble even in extreme climates. The use of organic cotton in certain components reinforces the environmental commitment without compromising durability.

A kitchen designed to inhabit the outdoors

Open Kitchen does not simply propose a way of cooking, but a way of relating to space. Rather than marking a boundary between indoors and outdoors, it invites a fluid transition, in harmony with a lifestyle where architecture accompanies without imposing.

Röshults at Espacio con Hache

At Espacio con Hache, we share this vision. The kitchen, even outdoors, can be a gesture of precision, beauty, and architecture. Open Kitchen perfectly embodies the values we uphold, material nobility, formal rigour, versatility without artifice, and above all, a way of designing that does not impose, but endures.

An open kitchen for the landscape, for encounter, and for time that passes unhurriedly.

Thanks

This website is dedicated to all those people who, in one way or another, have helped this project/dream/desire to begin and take shape.

Special thanks to my wife and my parents for supporting me, to Cristina Escarrà and Alfonso Pérez Rosales for generously sharing with me their experience as agents, to those clients who, in one way or another, have given me wise advice, to the brands that have placed their trust in me, and to Gonzalo, my godfather, who, with his always generous help, and guiding me throughout this process, is largely to blame for the fact that I can boast of being an “entrepreneur”.

Thanks also to Nuria, Rafa and Guillermo, who, to help me in the hard beginnings of any entrepreneurial activity, have opened the doors of their home, let me share with them a bit of their personal lives when I pass through their cities of residence, and give me free accommodation.

Thanks to all!
