Scene by +Halle: comfort at the service of architecture

Jul, 2023 • 2 Min. Read

In the modern era, where public spaces increasingly demand flexibility and adaptability, +Halle's Scene system emerges as a brilliant solution that blurs the boundaries between functionality and design. Developed by the prestigious London-based studio Industrial Facility, Scene is not just a bench system: it is an intelligent response to how we inhabit and transit contemporary spaces.

What happens when a furniture system truly understands its environment? Scene answers this question by transforming the way we interact with public spaces. Its modular design acts as an elegant bridge between contrasting architectures, creating seamless transitions between hard and soft spaces.

Modular versatility

The Scene system is structured around two islands and three fundamental modules: central, terminal and corner. Each of these elements is available in two different widths (700mm and 1220mm), multiplying the possibilities of configuration and adaptation to any space.

One of Scene's most innovative features is its variety of backrests, which makes it possible to create different user experiences, such as private spaces for individual work or comfortable areas for informal meetings. This multifunctionality is no coincidence: it responds to today's need for spaces that can be transformed according to the needs of the moment, whether for concentration or relaxation.

The art of transition

In contemporary architecture, spaces are no longer one-dimensional. Scene understands this reality and acts as a unifying element, creating harmonious connections between different architectural zones. Its design allows areas to flow naturally from one use to another, without visual or functional breaks.

Industrial Facility, known for its focus on conscious design, has created Scene, a response to the annual brief about definition. The result is a system that not only defines physical spaces, but also defines moments and experiences within them.

Anticipating the future

Scene transcends its function as a seating system to become an architectural element in its own right. In a world where the boundaries between work, leisure and transit are increasingly blurred, +Halle presents a solution that anticipates future needs. Scene's modular and adaptable design allows spaces to evolve along with their users, creating environments that are both functional and welcoming.

Thanks

This website is dedicated to all those people who, in one way or another, have helped this project/dream/desire to begin and take shape.

Special thanks to my wife and my parents for supporting me, to Cristina Escarrà and Alfonso Pérez Rosales for generously sharing with me their experience as agents, to those clients who, in one way or another, have given me wise advice, to the brands that have placed their trust in me, and to Gonzalo, my godfather, who, with his always generous help, and guiding me throughout this process, is largely to blame for the fact that I can boast of being an “entrepreneur”.

Thanks also to Nuria, Rafa and Guillermo, who, to help me in the hard beginnings of any entrepreneurial activity, have opened the doors of their home, let me share with them a bit of their personal lives when I pass through their cities of residence, and give me free accommodation.

Thanks to all!
