The first impression of Veng comes from its silhouette. A light, slender frame supports a curved backrest and sculptural armrests with a strong visual presence, defining the character of the entire collection.

Designed by Torbjørn Bekken in 1960, Veng belongs to a generation of furniture that helped define the golden age of Norwegian design. Bekken developed the collection during his time at Rastad & Relling Tegnekontor, one of Norway’s most influential design studios, where he explored a language characterised by precise proportions and the expressive qualities of wood.

A collection with its own identity.

Veng comprises an armchair, lounge chair, dining chair and counter stool, all sharing the same formal language and understanding of the relationship between structure and comfort.

The backrest gently supports the body, while the armrests introduce a sculptural gesture that balances the lightness of the overall composition. Each version retains the same distinctive character, adapting its proportions to different uses without altering the essence of the original design.

Available in five wood oak finishes and upholstered in leather or fabric, Veng offers a range of configuration options while preserving the collection’s distinctive character.
