Palle Suenson

Danish architect (1904 – 1987) inspired by functionalism and educated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1923. He founded his own architectural practice in 1930 and worked as Professor of Architecture (1941–71) and Rector of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen (1956-65). Throughout most of his oeuvre Palle Suenson contributed to Danish urban architecture with his many iconic buildings influenced by modernism in addition to accomplished prizewinning restoration projects.
